Cellulite seems to be one of those problems that plague many women these days. Below are natural remedies that should all help balance the connective tissue in the body and address the many possible causes. Either way, these things are beneficial for other reasons too so they are worth a try!

 

Consuming Gelatin:

Gelatin supports skin, hair and nail growth. It is good for joints and can help tighten loose skin. It can improve digestion and is rumored to help improve cellulite. It is a great source of dietary collagen and a good source of but its specific amino acids can help build muscle.

Myofascial Massage:

Cellulite forms in the superficial fascia, a layer of connective tissue below the skin that contains fat cells. Superficial fascia is fibrous and due to inactivity, injuries, and improper exercise, scar tissue in the fascia can form contributing to the bunched-up or rippled look of the skin.

Some therapists are able to perform a type of massage called myofascial, which smoothers this layer of connective tissue. A deep tissue foam roller can help too.

Coffee Scrub:

The massage and exfoliation benefits skin by stimulating blood flow and the caffeine in the coffee has a tightening effect. 

You will need:

  • 1/4 cup coffee grounds
  • 3 tablespoons sugar or brown sugar
  • 2-3 Tablespoons of melted coconut oil

Dumbbells:

Dumbbells are especially good for the hips/thighs/buttocks/stomach areas.

Increasing blood flow to these areas can help remove cellulite and dumbbells are one of the most effective ways to build muscle and burn fat

Omega-3s:

Consuming enough Omega-3 fatty acids and fat soluble vitamins will help reduce cellulite over time. Either way, Omega-3s and fat soluble vitamins are important for many other functions in the body, so it won’t hurt to try it!

Moisturize:

Try using natural options for skin care and moisturizing. Simple coconut oil will work as an all-purpose moisturizer.

Balance Hormones:

It seems that many sources agree that hormones play a large part in cellulite formation and that working toward proper hormone balance can help reduce cellulite. Even if it doesn’t get rid of cellulite, balancing hormones helps in so many other ways that it is worth working on!

Working out:

We target the dimples and shadows of cellulite through a series of simple, yet specifically targeted lower-body exercise movements. You place proper focus on your legs, buns, hips and thighs.

These unique movements of exercise focus on lifting, shaping and toning the muscle layers so they gently push outward against the skin, burning off any excess flab as fuel to bring back the smoother, tighter, sculpted and more attractive appearance.

Reduced by diet:

Increasing intake of fruits and vegetables can improve your circulation, reduce cellulite formation and reduce your body weight. Berries, bananas, oats and bran, asparagus and oranges are just some of the fruits that effectively bust cellulite.

The salt:

Avoid excess salt in your diet ad it harms your body and increases the water level in your body.

Massaging:

Take one-fourth of coconut oil into a glass jar. Add a mixture of 6 drops each cypress essential oil and geranium essential oil to the jar. Shake the jar well. Add 2 drops each of lemon oil and grapefruit oil to the mixture. Shake and store in a cool place. Massage the affected area for 10 minutes each day. You can try a cellulite reduction massage by way of finger kneading, hand kneading or a knuckle massage to help break up the fat deposits.
