Application procedure
You can apply for Essential Med health insurance in the following ways:
- Online application
- Downloadable application form (PDF) that is then printed, completed and faxed to 0865 327 661
- Call 0860 900 900
Upon receiving your completed application we will send you an SMS confirmation the following working day.
If no mobile number has been provided we will confirm via email or telephone call.
Please allow up to 5 working days for feedback on whether your application has been successful or not. This is the time required to verify all the information supplied.
All new policyholders are sent an Essential Med welcome pack by mail. This welcome pack contains your policy ID card, an Essential Med car sticker and important information and contact numbers.
Applications received after the 23rd of any month will be processed as usual, however, due to debit order cut-off times, policy inception date is likely to be in the month following the upcoming month.
